Default NSR float time

Anybody have an idea of how long it takes to float the NSR from Drayton to gennesee? Tia

Really depends on water flow, what ypu are floating in and whether you are paddling or just riding the current. Anywhere from one day to two or three.

Ok right on. It’ll be in a 17 foot Jetboat. I just wanted to make sure it wasn’t 4 days or more 😂

Well if you have that advantage I would launch at Genese, drive up river half a day or so, float back.

I’m a cheap bastard. Costs less to haul it to Drayton and then have the wife pick me up in a couple days downstream. Then I also get more actual hunting time in 😂

Thanks for that, Dean. Now I have food for thought for another summertime activity.

There are some great and very pretty floats even further west past Rocky. If you check the guide you can see where they are. It is pretty much floatable from the mountains down. Further upriver there are some class 2 water, but not real technical, but if you get high water some of it is challenging. From Rocky down it is very tame.

If you google up the Paddle Alberta guide it has way more detail in it.
