Scope review

Im looking at purchasing a new scope have it narrowed to these 2. The Ziess terra 3x9by42 vs the leupold 3-10by 40.ziess is$449 leupold is $629. Any one have pros and cons on either?

The Terra is a huge disappointment, not worthy of the Zeiss name.

I would not be comparing a Terra to a $629 Leupold scope either (I am assuming VX3 or better?). Vx1 or 2 would be a better comparison. Leupold would be my choice though.

Of those two the leupold all the way. I've tried two of the zeiss Terra's and they're junk. Thought maybe the first one was bad one so I tried a second and nope same thing. Only leupold I've ever been disappointed in was rifleman series that came on a used gun I bought. It got sent down the road quick.

Currently have a on which is great but looking for a little better glass and at dusk/dawn better picture

I mounted a Terra on a buddies 06. Was very underwhelmed. Would take a leupy, Nikon, or Burris of equal value any day over the Terra.
