Mossberg Magazine Issue

I have a friend (not on here) who has a Mossberg 810a (.30-06) with an odd issue: every time he fires a shot the magazine drops out.

Is this something that might have a simple DIY fix, like replacing a worn catch or adjusting something?

If not, can anyone recommend a gunsmith in Fort McMurray?
