Default Any feedback on aftermarket SKS stocks?

Love the SKS. I didn't want to go full "bubba" on it but I did toss a scope and bipod on it.

I've been fighting the urge to put a tapco/ATI stock on it for a while now. I just want a "black gun" instead of the wood gun. I pulled the bayo off for weight.

Anyone have thoughts after doing the stock swap? I don't want something that feels like a POS when I'm done. Hoping to pick up a used ATI/Tapco just to try it out.

At this time aftermarket mags are not a consideration or concern for me but ya it's a possability down the road.

Thanks in advance folks.

I love the SKS, have a bunch of em. I've never put an aftermarket stock on any of my SKS's before. To be honest, everybody that I know that has soon went back to the original stock and said don't waste your time. If you want a sweet "black gun" and can swing it, gets a VZ 58 chambered in 7.62 x 39. Would be a great companion for your SKS. Just my $.02...

I have a Tapco Fuse on mine and I like it, I also put a Vomz Pilad red dot on the upper rail, I like that too. I have a stock Russian as well, I like that too.

The ATI stock is pretty decent fit but it feels flimsy like cheap plastic kind of like an sps factory stock
