Default Pretty Big Bear

Friend of mine got this guy today & I knew he was pretty big once close. We jibber jabbered for a few minutes and got the low down on how it played out. Then trying to guess what he weighed. Only one way to find out is to go weight it. Just got the call. I was way off. You guys want to test your skills & maybe even post on how much you think it weighs.. I'll post it Friday morning. I know I know we want to see more pics to make an informed decision... lol
Not much into pictures that crew. Friday morning fellas.

Default Big Bear

I will say one thing, from my many years of guiding Black Bear hunts, no Bear ever weighed remotely close to what people guessed... I would guess this one in the 300lb range

I'm not sure on that but my hand is 4" across & I'm 250. If i were to look at the width of that car & a bear measures from nose to tail it might give me an idea how long he is then go from there.

Should have a pool. All guesses 10 bucks, I'll hold the money........

No idea how heavy he is, but they are a pig to haul around, much less load on the trunk of a car. Lol.

Thanks Popcan!!

It's a beauty of a bear. Ours here are taken in the fall and that front pad needs to be all of 6" wide or better to make 300lbs. Also here that bear needs to be 6'1 or better from nose to base of tail.
Your spring bears a re sure thick coated, I envy you in that.A

They're all a lot lighter than you think and weigh about a hundred pounds more than they are while you're trying to load them. I'll guess 235.

Thanks... in our next lives we're all coming back as weather forecasters.. Hahaaa...

Here's a couple more pics

This might be him but I'm not sure. These guys run Spypoints I'll get ahold of'em today to try & get some live pics surely they must have some.

My partner guessed mine at 230-250 lbs. It took the both of us all we had to lift it two feet into a small trailer. Nose to tail 5'

I just got a pic of the scale with the weight on it. Like they say " pics or it didn't happen"

Catch up with you guys later on

Great looking bear, I just got my archery bear from last year back. I wish I had a scale, he was a hog to load in the tub trailer alone. I had to use the upside down flip trick to get him in. He was 19” plus, over 6’ nose to tail.

Everyone wants a 7’ bear until the rug taxidermy bill comes in and they wish it was 5’

Unless your friend is a Hobbit that’s a pretty good bear. I’d go 355 as a guess.
