Default who has the best price on remington sevens?

prophet river is more expensive than wolverine even with their sale which is bizarre and not a lot of places carry these.

so anyone find anything out there?

I was browsing the Remington site to see what the differences were between the 700 and the Seven, and saw the laminate version MadBall has advertised.

Beautiful rifle... And only 6.5 lbs !

it seems to me that they're very under appreciated hunting rifles. except by those that have them. this build will be my first

Owned one. It was the most ill balanced rifle I have ever handled.

The factory plastic stocks are crazy heavy for their size. You need to run a lightweight stock like the wildcat and it changes them dramatically.

That laminate one is listed as having an even shorter barrel than usual, IIRC 18.5". Between the weight of the laminate stock and the extra short barrel I can see the handling being pretty funky. Maybe scout mounting a scope would help?

Those Millarm prices are great across the board. Seen plenty of used rifles being flogged for the same money. How much worse is a 600 or 660? There seem to be more of those going for reasonable prices.

i picked her up and the balance is near perfect for how i hold a rifle.

i like the balance point to be right around the front action screw and it's just behind that.

To slab? Or not to slab? That is the question.

i'm worried that after i get rid of the tupperware stock and put on a slightly longer barrel i won't want to move my balance point any further forward

I wonder how many people have had facial problems with blowing up Kimber's?

it may not be a concern to you, but i walk a lot with my rifle. if i get an obstruction in the barrel i want that little edge to save my life as small as it may be.

Put tape over your muzzle.

If it bothers you that much you maybe should find a different hobby. And I'm still wondering what makes you think a Kimber will take your head off and a Remington won't.
