Exclamation Check my DIY TiP UP built from scrap!!!

Hello everybody!
Wanna introduce to you guys an ice fishing tip up, which I built basicaly from scrap.
The design of it is better known in post Soviet countries, but perhaps some of you familiar with that kind of a setup.
So, the idea wasn't mine of the whole thing. I just "created" the reel itself.))
I already tested at the lake, works just fine.

Here is the step by step making video, please enjoy! I spent quite a lot of time building it and editing. So don't judge hard, LOL.

Looks good. You could consider placing a rod guide in front of the whole to reduce line wear on wood. See you use braid but mono would be a problem.

As a kid my tip up consisted on a 2 L plastic pop bottle. I glued a wider lip at the top.

I tied on my line and wrapped as much as possible. The. Dropped the line and bait in for pike.

I placed the bottle 20 feet back from the hole. When the bottle tipped and started moving I ran and did a running tackle. Bottle was bouyant enough not to go down the hole.

I sometimes put a bit of water in the bottom if too windy.

Lots of fun.

That's pretty cool. Especially that it's basically all recycled material
