Default Shark Lake--Any Fish?

Planning to hike into Shark Lake in ES1 next week, but I'm wondering if any members have ever been there and caught anything/seen fish?

Not looking for hot spots or even lure recommendations. Just don't want to waste my time.

Send me a PM if you're uncomfortable broadcasting publicly.

This has been cross-posted in the fishing forums as well.

Years ago we stocked Goldens in there, but I don't think the fish made it. I think it winterkills

I have only been there once, maybe 7-8 years ago, didn't catch anything, saw few jump. It is spring fed and has perhaps the best water (from the spring) I've ever tasted. Also no marking for trailhead or trail for that matter.

The lake gets stocked every few years with cutties and has been so since the 80's. You need a float tube as the lake is round and the deepest part is in the middle so tough to catch fish from shore.

Cool. Thanks for the info. Hopefully we can catch a few cutties when we go.
