Default Walmart sold me ammo with a head nod!

So i went to walmart at 130th to grab some .22 ammo and the guy grabs it for me...asks if i'm over 18, i nodded...he gave it to me...so shouldn't you have to show ur pal at the very least?

Since when do you need to be 18 to purchase ammo?

So what are you going to do with this ammo grab of yours?

Certain stores have this as a store policy....not a written rule but they can make their own policies on who they sell certain items to. Some places treat paintball and airsoft in the same fashion.

A head nod is all you you should ever need, it's redneck for - "you cool? I'm cool".

i bought some bulk ammo at my local walmart 2 weeks ago, he opened up the case, i grabbed my box, he closed the case, I said thanks and he said your welcome. Finished my shopping and walked up to the normal checkout with a few groceries and and ran them through.

not a word or question by a single soul...

Very refreshing, thought I was back in Montana for a second.

Geez I remember when I was younger around the 1997's im only 24 now, and I used to be able to buy .22 shells at the gas station, truevalue, and a sporting goods store. Its to bad that we need to be sheltered now. I had a facebook thing sent to me it was a picture of a dude standing there with a blurb saying "Im not saying lets go and kill all the stupid people....... Im just saying lets remove all the warning labels and let the problem sort itself out." That saying is truer now then it ever could be. We dont NEED all these gun and ammo controls but some people are tards and cant help being stupid or taking things to far. Its sad the way it is now. The stupidest thing iv done with the shells I bought was shooting squirrels up in the top of a tree.

I bought a bulk pak of 20ga at the Walmart here about a 3wks ago.

The lady took it out of the locked cabinet for me.
I checked it over.
Gave it back.
She walked it to the cust serv checkout.
When i got there, i asked for the shotgun ammo.
Cashier ran my stuff through, and when the ammo ran through, a reminder came up on the till screen asking to see my FA License. She asked.
I showed.
I paid and left.

I can deal with that. Besides, it saved me packing the 100 pack around the store for the next 20mins.

I bought some primers and bullets at Wholesale Sports. Cashier wanted to see my PAL, I said I didn't have it with me. She sold it to me anyway. Why do they ask?

I don't realy understand why a pal is nesecary for buying ammo in the first place. Maybe the powers that be regard them as little grenades? you must have a gun to shoot them; except in the case of .22 shells and rocks. Ps. dont try it... it is as stupid as it sounds

I read somewhere that this requirement has been somewhat effective at curbing gang related firearm violence. Apparently they can get the firearms easier than they can get the ammo.

I know that (that is why I didn't bother taking my PAL with me) and apparently Wholesale Sports knows that, but they ask anyway... that is the part I don't get.

People really have to clue in and stop writing/ complaining about things like this. Some rat is gonna see this and call the cops and the walmart raising a storm about how every law needs to be followed no questions asked.

Actually flint locks do not require a PAL, they never have....so they are correct there.

I couldn't agree more. If God was to send me an angel with the winning numbers for Lotto Max, I sure as heck wouldn't go blabbing off those numbers on the streets, let alone the internet.

the quaker street gangs have had them for years, terrorizing their territorial rivals, the angry amish and mennonite gangs.

Thankfully none have them have been able to corner the black powder market ... yet.

Smile Showing the Card

I have only bought ammo at Walmart a couple times...they always asked for my PAL, as does Canadian Tire.. I always get asked at WSS, they know me well but the girl at the checkout still has to see it. On the flip side, I have bought ammo at various other stores and quite often don't need to show my card.
