Default Gun ranges in Alberta

Looking at the stickied thread: http://www.outdoorsmenforum.ca/showthread.php?t=13155

I can see it's not an exhaustive list though (I understand why not, the thread's instructions make that clear) - off the top of my head I can see a number of ranges that aren't there.

I'd like to compile a more exhaustive list of ranges in Alberta and just need to get an idea of what's missing so I can go out and collect the necessary info. To begin, we have:

Athabasca Gun Range

Bonnyville Shooting Sports Association

Brooks Pistol Club

Calgary & District Target Shooters Association

Camrose Shooting Sports Association

Canadian Historical Arms Society

Canadian Shooting Sports Association

Cold Lake Rifle Range

Edmonton Gun Club

Edson Fish and Game Association

Fort McMurray Fish and Game Association

High Prairie Fish and Game Association

Hinton Fish and Game Association

Lac La Biche Gun Club

Lethbridge Fish & Game Association

Medicine Hat Rifle and Revolver Club

Nosehills Gun Club

Peace Country Fish & Game Association

Ponoka Fish & Game Association

Provost Fish & Game

Red Deer Fish and Game Association

Rocky Mountain House Shooting Sports

Sherwood Park Fish & Game Association

Shooting Federation of Canada

Spruce Grove Gun Club

Swiss Rifle Club Tell Calgary

Vermilion Gun Club

Wapiti Shooters Club

I see these missing:

-Wildwood
-Wabamun
-Phoenix
-Calgary Shooting Center
-Wild West

What else?

And not all the links work.

I believe if you are logged and desire to update the list and report the link they may consider your update?

I think to be added to or deleted from the list, a Club Exec would need to make the request to Admin? Some clubs may not want to advertise.

Excellent point and probably the way it should work.

Oh, I realize clubs may not want to advertise. Or at least advertise here.

I'd just like to get an idea of the ranges in Alberta.

If you need a list of gun range, start with the Alberta Federation of Shooting Sports.
right here in Edmonton. They have them all. Probably needs to be updated.

Question Any updates?

I’m looking for a range in southern Alberta. What’s available outside of Lethbridge? I only need to use it for an hour maximum once per year.

Thanks

Taber Range.
I'm curious, you're not looking to join a Range with the criteria outlined above, why once a year 1 hour max?

You're looking for a Range Member to take you as a guest?

Brooks fish and game has a 300 yard range for $80 regular. I’m the president, feel free to advertise. Haha

Default Checking out my rifle

I only hunt for food and only take what I need from the field so before every hunting season I check to see that my deer rifle is still on target. 2 shots at the range confirm and two shots later bring home the meat. Been working on the same box of ammo for 4 years now.

Can’t justify a 4x4 or a quad or a two hour drive or a $50+ range fee on my limited budget just for a couple of meat deer. I do think that I found a friend of a friend who might let me check out the old rifle on his property west of the city though so here’s hoping.
