Fished it in August and October. There's fish.

Ice averaging 14" now around whitecourt.

Good luck, let us know how you do!

Hasn't winter killed to my knowledge, just gets hammered now so usually only catch the new stockers anyways.

Deep just off boat launch. My showdown indicated 40+ feet. No problem for trout lasting a few seasons before they are caught and eaten. Fished this lake the last 6 years and was able to catch 3 to 5 trout above 3-5 LBs.

Now one in 30 will be in this range. More pressure than ever and people keeping big guys and not releasing them for another fisherman to catch. First time I have seen over 50 fisherman on the lake last year.

Should have a slot limit below 12" so you could catch the odd one above 3lbs.

Another mistake by our fisheries management team

Make a few more trout lakes trophy lakes with the possession limit 2 under 12".

Nothing like reeling in a 5lb trout and releasing it for another fisherman to enjoy.
