Default First Lake Whitefish on Fly for Ann

AO member Ann ask for tips on Jasper fishing

so I told her but when you take a person they really learn

come to Talbot with me I asked

5am though .... meet you at the boat launch was her answer

Whitefish were all around us

only a few took a runs at our hooks

Ann had one hit but the hook set missed

i had one hit so i pasted her the rod

Bam .. its on side way run with a couple dive's into mud bottom

Ann stayed with it and turned it as it headed for weeds

few minutes later she lead it too the net

she added a check on fighting Lake Whitefish in Alberta

Lake Whitefish on the fly is Wild!!!

3#14 not bad size

F18 Hornet did fly bye at 11.31am

Bald Eagles said hello

Thanks for coming out Ann

enjoy

David

Default A fun experience!

Yes David it was fun, youre a good teacher, so very patient, even after I snagged you a couple of times! , you were a good sport about it all!
Seeing ALL those whites was so cool! I wish we could've caught more of them but they were being fussy!
Thanks again for taking the time to teach a rookie, and being such a gentleman.
Ann

I really love hearing stories like this, it seems people sometimes forget that we all needed tips and even places to fish at one time or another. Anyone that's ever moved provinces, cities or Countries surely had to ask for a little help. Good job

Here's a couple of pics I got off my camera today.
David all decked out for Canada Day!
And the beautiful white I got to fight and bring in.
