Had my fly fishing gear stolen out of my truck last week so now i am looking for new stuff.

had a Lamson Velocity reel that was the best reel i have ever owned. light, great construction, fantastic drag system and smooth operation.

of course they don't make it anymore. would like to go back to a Lamson but most of their reels are now over the 250 mark.

now i am looking for a new 5wt reel in the 150- 200 range. any suggestions?

i went back to my Okuma reel and realized why i stopped using it. what a POS. horrible drag system and retrieval system. would never buy another Okuma again.

Yup, have a look at the reviews, and then search the reel you think you'd like for pricing. You may just be pleasantly surprised at what you can find. Last month I got two Nautilus reels at a discount US price, in Canada. Sometimes you need to go back 5-6 pages to find that deal, but, they are out there.
