Default 222 Rem Mag

Had a custom 222 Rem Mag built about 20 years ago. Great shooter. If I was doing it today the barrel would be a 1:8 twist. When it was being built 1000 rounds of brass were purchased. Still on the original 100 rounds prepped for rifle. Rifle is 40X Rem with a 1.250" diameter Hart barrel, 2 oz Jewell trigger, in a MacMillan stock. It shoots!

I have had a 222 Rem mag for about 5 years now and I love it. Great for coyotes, beavers and thousands of mountain gophers. 50 gr. V- max,H-4895 powder and I couldn't be happier. You can still get brass in the U.S. or at the odd gun show. Not sure of other options for brass.Someone said that you could fire form 223 brass but i'm not sure about that.
