This spot is wore off or broken? I am guessing. Anyone with a pic of theirs?

That appears to me to be normal wear due to the cocking action when cycling the bolt over a 40-50 year span.
Was this bolt functioning properly before you stripped it?

i'm busy for a couple days, but will get you some pics if someone else doesn't get them for you sooner. i agree that the area you have highlighted looks like it's not broken.....just wear and tear and shouldn't have any effect on function.

Where are you out of?

If you PM me your number I can text some pics of mine.

I have had mine apart and yours looks worn but all there from memory.

For the old OP - I would suspect the ejector arm busted off. It is integral to Part 12 in the diagram. I found it a PIA to get those back in and everything lined back up

No the bolt was not working properly before I stripped it. Someone has made a mess of it. It is hard to find a bolt for it as it seems to be the odd version. I never even tried the function much. If I remember correctly it fires when closing bolt. Maybe I will put it back together and see what it will do. Maybe the other owner destroyed the bolt. there are a lot of marks on it that should not be there

It's not the odd version it's the early bolt design. If it's firing when closing the bolt I would look at the sear catch on the trigger and where it relates to the bolt for excessive wear or breakage.
There is another thread here looking for a Mark 1 bolt ,same supplier may have a replacement for yours,if needed. Then there's head spacing to consider with a bolt swap, might be alright though. If the bolt is pooched and there's no sentimental value to this gun and considering your comments on the condition the previous owner left it in,personally I would be hesitant to source another bolt.Just replace the gun for one in better condition that works reliably and SAFELY for a young shooter.Best course of action IMHO.
