Edm. to Reed Deer?
Hi guy's. I have a small pkg to be dropped off in Red Deer. It is a door prize for the Kinsmen fishing derby being held on the18 (or 19) of Feb. I could meet you somewhere in Edm. if it would help. Thanks.

I think a thread in general to get attention results in better traffic and likely a quicker solution for the one in need.
It is nice to see that some members are allowed to run their own thread and not be forced to use a sticky, that I would guess rarely works. Must be different tiers of membership here.

I would hate to think that i'm getting special treatment by being allowed to post this request. This is the way we did it long before that stickie was posted. I agree with you that that stickie is not very effective and I think it should be dissolved. I did however post my request on the AO pony express also.
I really don't think that there are so many requests that it would interfere with life on the general thread. It never did before.

Cellphone for my mama
Need some help here Folks. My mom is at Royal Alex hospital in Edmonton, and I need to get a cellphone to her. She had a heart attack here in Red Deer and had to be taken to Edmonton for an emergency angiogram. She is going to be having major heart surgery, and Mom is up there all alone (against her wishes to be down in Calgary instead) with no way to contact anyone, and I don't drive. Is anyone heading up to Edmonton that can swing by and drop off her phone in the CCU unit so she can at least call out? I cannot head up until Friday

Anyone Headed to Ottawa from Edmonton/Lloyd/Wainwright
I have a 200lb crate that is approx 48" L x 18" H x 18" W that needs to go from Central Alberta to the Ottawa area containing antique vehicle parts. Timing is extremely flexible so if it has to wait for the Christmas break, no worries. Will chip in for gas money.
Thanks for looking!
