Default Dads 80th birthday. Looking for suggestions

Looking for advise on a restaurant in Edmonton that would be good for 20 to 30 people. A private room would be nice but not a deal killer. We want a nice place but will be fun for all ages 8 months to 80. Any suggestions will be appreciated
Thanks

Is he of a Nationality that might have an ethnic restaurant in Edmonton that would bring back fond memories for him?

When the Hungarian mil celebrated her birthday- we took her to a schnitzel restaurant in Calgary. She was in heaven.

what a co-incidence. my father is turning 80 in jan. we rented a large room in the nearby community hall that holds 40 people and invitations have been sent. not planning anything elaborate, just serving sandwiches deserts and refreshments.
onr thing i learned is that when you rent a hall you can't provide homemade sandwiches, have to be store bought.
good luck on your plans.
