I don't think anything will help at this point, barring a trade for Tavares, Ovi, and maybe Josi.

Nuge out for 5-6 weeks..... what a kick in the pills man..!

Well...... I don’t see this being too big a problem.... he’ll be healed up for the playoffs.

The boys need to buck up and go hard.

Get your lottery tickets!!!

Oh my, can you imagine the look on the face of the next guy who gets drafted to them? It's like being featured on the cover of SI or being a Clevland Browns QB. Poor buggers...

Interesting Coaches Corner during the Bruins Canadians game. Showed another highlight goal from Taylor Hall and Don made mention that he should be playing with McDavid in Edmonton. A real dig at Peter Chiarelli and right on the money.

Hall will probably enjoy actually playing in the playoffs this year.

But thank goodness we got Griffon Reinhart instead of this guy that the Islanders picked up with the draft choice.

Mathew Barzal
Born: May 26, 1997
Birthplace: Coquitlam, BC, CAN
Shoots: Right
Draft: 2015 NYI, 1st rd, 16th pk (16th overall)
View Player Bio +

Season 2017-2018
GP G A P +/- PIM PPG PPP SHG SHP GWG OTG S S%
48 16 33 49 6 14 4 14 0 0 3 1 104 15.4

His 49 points is 3 behind McD and 10+ higher than any other Oiler

He will make a good golf partner for McDavid. They can watch the playoffs from the country club.

SOILER fans can console themselves by picking their spots to view the annual SOILER Draft Lottery Parade-an annual event for the last 12 yrs minus 1 unexplainable blip

I Think Griffon is out of hockey now?? He was waived by Las Vegas.. Nope I see that he has played a total of 27 games for the Chicago Wolves of the AHL.. I understand that he will be highly desired by Horse lake Thunder as they make their way into the spring..... What a TRADE!!!

And as bad as that was, it pales in comparison to the cluster he left in Boston. Dallas has an absolute would class player in Tyler Seguin and Boston has absolutely nothing in return. A quick google search will show a couple or three other blunders in Boston where IMO he should have been tarred and feathered.

Larson is a really decent D-man but Taylor Hall is a world class winger that actually wanted to be here. I like Larson but here have been at least 5 or 6 D-men come and go in the last few years with the same potential and it isn't like they haven't had many draft picks to build a solid D.

Jordan Eberle was a 20 goal man last year and has 16 goals and 22 assists already this year. These are top 6 numbers. These type of players are really hard to come by and would be an asset on any team. You don't throw them away for a maybe 3rd or 4th line guy that wouldn't make most NHL rosters.

Who would make any teams 3rd line is Tyler Pitlick. 8 goals, 8 assists and plus 11 in 46 games this year with Dallas. After a 6 year investment in a young player he had finally turned the corner last year. He had 8 goals and 3 assists in 31 games with the Oilers and looked confident. He was simply let go for nothing and of course snapped up quickly by anyone that ever watched a hockey game before.

What is most scary is the complete lack of depth left in the minors. There is nothing up and coming as they have been all squandered away.

Trade the twin tractors; Lucic and Maroon at the deadline for a couple of decent forward prospects and rid yourself of Peter Chiarelli while there is still a team left.

How do you trade lucic? That contract is pretty much untradable. Only thing you could get is a bottom 6 guy and you’re still retaining salary.

Prospect or a draft pick and be happy to get rid of him.

Retain his full salary as long as they take Chiarelli as part of the deal.

He will get this team going! Superstars are great behind the bench. Just look what Gretz did with the Phoenix... oh wait a minute..

Time to move the chirping where it belongs...nice pp for the Oilers, but the pk was even better.

Sabres up by one.
