So were they selling them IN Saskatchewan, or bringing them back to Alberta and selling them ?

I'm guessing it happened in Sask, based on the trial being there...

Sounds like they were buying coyotes in Saskatchewan but are from Alberta.

In Saskatchewan, you cannot sell your hunted coyotes to a fur buyer unless you have a trapping license or a fur buyer license (differant then Alberta where only the buyer needs a fur buyer license to buy hunted coyotes)

Also, I don't believe non resident hunters (such as these guys who sound like they are from albeta) can hunt coyotes in Saskatchewan legally so not such what these guys were thinking, let alone trying to sell them afterwards

I doubt they we're trapping them since a trapper would typically know the law around what you can do with them afterwards from their trapping courses/education

I don't think that's the issue. It's selling the fur without a license that got them in hot-water...

Regardless, it's a selfish Regulation. I hope that similar rules are in place to prevent Non-Alberta-residents from removing fur from our Province.

Cause we already let non-residents hunt coyotes (with a license)...
