went flyfishing for pike in french bay, caught a few so that was nice, they were moving a little slow, often times sunning themselves in the shallows, it ought to heat up once the water gets warmer I would think. There is still some ice on the lake I believe (although it was melting fast) but there is still fishing to be had if you want.

I saw someone pull in a 6-7 pound pike from the warf Saturday. There was a fair bit of ice floating about Saturday and a few boats headed out. I'd guess it's very close to being clear now if it isn't already...haven't had a chance to take a good look since Saturday, despite living blocks away from the marina, lol.

Going to be alot of good lakers in that lake in a few years.
Caught alot small lakers under 65 over the past few years,as soon as they were hitting 65 they were plucked out of the lake .Its about time .

Just because you are allowed to keep one over 75cm, doesnt mean you have to.

It will take more than a few years. Lakers don't grow very quickly. Besides with a 75cm keeper limit, many of the big ones will be filtered out. Even tho a laker at that size is aweful tasting and oily as heck people will keep them.
