Default Duke #3 RJ's

Just read that the Duke #3 RJ is a certified yote trap as of December 18, 2015. Wished I would have read this before.

I don't know how excited I would be with such a trap. I used some for about a week the year that they got passed, coyotes are kinda hard on the rubber. To do the trap justice, plan to change out the rubber pads on a regular basis.

To be honest this certification business ? If a company has the money and are large enough has to do a lot with them passing ? I could be wrong but money talks and BS walks !
I,m curious that when the acceptable traps are in , whether non certified traps that are just as good and possibly better would be acceptable to use?
That question was asked to a little bird and I was told that as long as the non Canadian certified traps , were passed by the Best management practices of the U.S then those would be usable also in Canada!

It does look like one company has received preference over all others, and I sure don't like that. It sure isn't because they have more money but because it is perceived that the Canadian trapper has more of that one brand of trap than any other.

As Minnisota Trapline Products is the leader in advancing the modern steel trap, I'd sure like to see them be given a bigger piece of the pie in terms of opportunity given for their products to be tested and pass.

The Bridger bodygrips that were tested years ago are not the same Bridger bodygrips that are on the store shelves today, today's are much better. Hopefully they will get tested again, I know they would pass now with the improvements made by the new company owner.
