Yup. Fishing is good. Just need to reel em in fast and get the off the hook quick so they can get back down deep.

If you wiggle your pinky toe juuussst right. Anything will bite.

How would you fish one of these lures?

I'm new to fly fishing and trying to get things figured out. I was at Beaver Mines the past few days and happened to try this hook a few times (prior to seeing this thread), I was using a strike indicator and letting the hook sit at various depths, anywhere from 4-8 feet deep. No luck.

A good friend supplies me with fly's that he ties, I'm trying to put them to work! In 9 hours of fishing at BM, over 3 days I hardly had a bite. Still nice to be out on the kayak though. There's a couple big bald eagles there, and we saw a (great?) blue heron.

Bloodworm patterns, are generally fished.Very close to the bottom. They being, the worm stage of a chironomid.Red,green patterns have worked well for me.If you have had a windy day, before your outing.Fish that downwind shoreline.Or deep water, especially when water is warm.Really good fall pattern to use.
