Default Ruger Marlins

As the title states... to my understanding Ruger will be producing Marlins for sale as of early fall of 2021.
I've always been a Marlin fan. JM's, later Remington produced. Been wanting a 44 and 357 to add to the safe. Now that Ruger has purchased Marlin any predictions to quality?
My thoughts are Ruger will do a better job then Remington.
Looking at costs to buying a used Marlin these days seems to be large asking prices.
Anyone have more info on Ruger Marlins?
Thanks

I also think that Ruger will do a better job than Remington did. Time will tell I guess, I could see a few bugs in the first little while.

Default hopefully

They skid the micro-groove rifling and get groove size correct and ROT for several calibers .44 mag and .444 should be 1-20" and .429-.430 not larger.Ballard rifling for the levers and bring back the 25-20 , 32-20,38-40 ,44-40 and a .32 H+R mag perhaps. Sixteen inch barrel trappers would be nice as well as cowboys .

I have no doubt that original jm Marlins will command the highest price followed by Rugers and the remlins will drop drastically in price. I agree with the OP next 2 guns on my list is a 45/70 guide gun and either a new Curly Maple 336 or JM 336 in .35 rem for a wall hanger above the fireplace.

Default or

Lengthen the 95 action to original size and make the 45-90 again with a twist suitable for heavier than 300 gr. bullets.

I'd like to see the model 39 come back.

I just thinned out my collection of bolt guns. Never even considered selling one of my many marlin lever guns!

I had a remlin I really liked it. Was a 45-70 with really nice wood. What I wanted was a 338 Marlin. If Ruger brings them back I will buy one.

Default Ruger

They have already produced and released a catalog. Search Marlinfirearms, this is the trademark they will be offered under.
Under the customer service banner they explain that the courts discharged them from any warranties etc. Read it. They bought the machinery and the trade marks.

You guys who are dreaming about obsolete calibers need to wake up. The production of these firearms, let alone the ammunition is not economically viable. They went obsolete for a good reason. Nobody was buying them.

A "Trapper" length carbine (Marlin calls it Compact) is be offered. Look for standard calibers in the levers. .38/.357/.30-30/.35/.44/.45/.444/.45-70

Ruger has been sending out regular updates on the facility move and guns they will be producing come fall.

Default Guess that's why

The Cowboy line of rifles sold like hotcakes in the "obsolete" calibers.Because nobody wanted them.

How about a lever action 375 Ruger?

Pretty sure that would require a front locking bolt arrangement. You could probably build one on a Browning lever gun.

Market is not there- not too many people will be wanting one!
