Default Whiteswan Lake

Thinking about heading to Whiteswan Lake for a few days at the end of September. I'm curious if anyone has fished there at that time of year and might have some intel they might want to share ?

Early fall is a fantastic time to be up there. I lean towards wet lines and leeches and big nymphs (dragon/gompus).

Oh everyone lighten and accessorize their rap program..caught a lot of trout on flies the the 14lbs and up you have to be realistic. Put a feather on the treble haha...I am sure none of you are using weighted flys as those are just another name for jigs

The true and original art/pastime of fly fishing was with a dry fly, nymphing was somewhat frowned upon back inn the day in the UK.

Streamer fishing would never have been tolerated. This info came from my Father who grew up fly fishing in the 30s in England.

Whitetail fishes best at ice-out, and the end of September! Leeches, Bulldogs with back tails, and dark double shrimp Troll on a sinking fly line and tick off fly fishing purists, and hardware fishers alike!
