Question Trapping Interest

I have been kicking around the idea of trapping coyotes and in the future maybe beaver. I have never done this before and want to know what I need as far as licenses and courses to trap on public and private land(with permission of course). It would be nice to know what basic equipment is required also. Thanks for the help in advance and if you can point me to the proper info that would be great.

Call the Alberta trappers association or visit their website for additional information. You need to take the course they offer to get a license. You can also challenge the test from any f&w office. But you won't learn what you need to know that way. Call the ATA and figure out what course would be the best for where you live.
