Default M70 stiff safety

I recently traded for an older model m70 in .270. I put a limbsaver on it along with a z3 3-10 and new rings. Free floated the barrel and took off the front hood sight. Was all excited to finally take it out and shoot it. I got 3 light primer strikes out of 5 rounds and the safety was pretty stiff on the rifle as well. I disassembled the bolt just unscrewing it and cleaning the firing pin and spring and threads etc. but the safety is still very stiff to the point you need to pull it so hard it hurts your fingers. It was pretty cruddy inside the bolt so I hope that solved the light strike issue. But is the safety issue something I can do myself or is that a job for a gunsmith?
Thanks

I have worked on hundreds of those over the years. It’s a job for a gunsmith that understands a 3 position safety. Bubba can make it unsafe very quickly .
