Not sure if there is anyone left, their reorganization seems to have gone Bust, haven't seen anything in the paper for months now.

If you find another route, please advise. I've purchased a membership 2 months before they shut down and then paid for another year in hopes that they will reopen soon. I've been waiting for years...

I'm sure Dennis Coombs would know what's happening, he owns the building where the last meeting [Curves] was held, but I don't have a phone number.

Gone
I think it's gone for good. Last I heard my last year membership was free and then silence. Nada. Zip.
Was good while it lasted back then.
Darn neighbors stirring up the pot on noise.
Maybe every one needs to go out East more.
There must be some good clubs in the Drumheller valley in all those coulees.
Linden?
Three Hills?

Trochu, but I believe they have a local residency requirement and membership cap.

Joined the Red Deer Club
After the Olds Club locked the gates I retained my membership and I also joined the Red Deer Club. I did not want to give up shooting my restricted firearms and plan on keeping the membership even if the Olds Club gets up and running again. That being said, as a current dues paying member in Olds it concerns me that we have heard nothing from the new executive. What is happening with the range site? Are the taxes being paid? Are the bank accounts still intact? I will attempt to contact Mr. Coombs and see if he can shed some light on the situation or pass on the name of someone who can.

Mountain View Marksmen Update
Thank you Grizzly Adams for pointing me towards Mr. Coombs. Got it touch with him and had a very interesting conversation. According to him the re-org is very much alive. The Club has re-obtained its status from the province and the CFO has visited the Range, inspected it, and given his approval. Members of the executive have made a few improvements and is soon going before the Mountain View Council to apply for permits to build berms etc and talk about opening for business. I also learned that a Club meeting has been tentatively scheduled for May 12. A notice should be appearing in the local paper a couple of weeks prior to the date. I also suggested that, before the 12th, an e-mail be sent to Club members updating them on the situation.

No, West country is the nearest place you can go to shoot rifles, but that not a range, just crown land. If you want a 200+ yard range your looking at rocky mountain house or Trochu, but I heard a rumor that Trochu isn't issuing out any new memberships unless you live in the area, if that is true or false i dont know.
