Yep, like Shaggy says use it for transporting into your spot in the dark or out at night....
I've got a Primos Bow Sling (hooks over the cams with cups and protects strings/cables) and I sling it over my pack and behind me on my back. Carries my bow perfectly and keeps it protected and out of the way allowing me to use both hands and walk easily. Comes off my bow within seconds. Usually only have it on my bow when I know I will not need the bow.
