Default 6.5 Creedmore load

Hi all I’m shooting the Hornady precision hunter 143 eldx in 6.5 Creedmore and I’m wondering if anyone has built a load close to the factory?

Generally, anyone with a $100 press can build a load a whole lot better than factory, as far as consistency etc. I’ve run a lot of 6.5 ELD-x thru my 6.5x55 and they are very accurate. Even took em up close to 3000 FPS no probs.

minor differences between rifles will dictate a truly accurate load for each rifle.
.005 difference in length and .5 grains of a particular powder on a cartridge can make a large difference in accuracy depending on the individual rifle.
Your best bet is to start with the Hornady load manual and work up a load from there.

Just sayn’
But I’d go looking for my own data from real sources, instead of taking advice from a bunch of aliases off the interweb.

I’d be looking at RL 16 or 26 and if you want Superformance I’ve got several pounds I’ll sell cheap. If I haven’t already divested myself of it.

Default 6.5 Creedmore load

I’m just working up some loads for my rebarreled 6.5CM. It seems to like 143ELDX over a stout load of H4350.

5-shot 100yd target. Just touching 2800fps out of a 24” inch custom pipe.

Rel 17 seems to work well in my Sako A7 Roughtech Range.
These are the first 4 groups I put through it at 100 meters.
The smallest group is .40", the largest is .50". I think it might shoot.
However I did not check velocity.

I pulled a factory 143 gr. Hornady Precision Hunter
It had 41.4 grs of what looked to be H4350
COL was 2.810

They use H4350 yes. They used to print the load data right on the box.
