Muzzy
thunderheads
Montec
All based on people experiences I have personally hunted with. I have NEVER heard a bad thing about Montecs.
I'd go with Montecs.

Rage work extremely well so do the tekens. I hunt with both. The rage have a 2 inch cutting diameter. And both fly exactlly like field points, so you don't have to tune your bow to your broadheads.

Montec G5's They're tough, fly well at 300fps (for me anyways) Some times they are a not as sharp out of the pack as you would like, but a few swipes over a flat diamond stone will fix that. The one piece design eliminates many tuning issues found in multi piece broadheads.

I have had good kills 80 to 90 yrd recoveries on ELK with (mechanicals) three blade 100gr spitfires and with (fixed blade) 4blade slick tricks.

Muzzys seem to be one of the most popular, THunderheads must be decent they have been around forever. And Montecs... hmm, didnt they just redesign them? Interesting.
And well, I'll take spitfire 100 3 blades anyday over any others..... they have never let me down.

The crimson talons I tried shot about 6 inches left as compared to my field points and the muzzy's I tried.

I've used a lot of different brands and I have to say I'm quite impressed with the G5 Montec's.

I like the Slick tricks. Montecs worked well, flew nice, but they had one hell of a whistle when I shot them, that was my only complaint.

thanks guys for the advice.
I see that montec is popular but can you tell me if these will work for an arrow that fits 40 to 45 pound draw weight?
I am trying to match an arrow and broadhead for my first hunting season with my Razor's Edge at 40-45# and 23" draw.
