Default Glass bedding kit

Just wondering if you guys have any recommendations for a glass bedding kit.

Are they all the same? I am only going to a single rifle at the moment.

No they are not all the same . They do the same thing .

Brownells makes Acra-gel and Acra glass . The Acra gel is easier to use . The Brownells kit has everything you need in it.

One can use other products such as Devon steel, Marine-Tex, Micro bed and several other 2 part epoxies that have a small shrink rate

If you only plan to do one rifle, go with the kit. But just to share another option if you think you will bed more rifles (if you have more rifles you probably will want to bed them, too -- I know I did). I'd recommend buying the 1lb kit of Devcon 10110. That will do 4-5 rifles for about the same price as a single rifle kit. The Devcon, plus some items you probably have around the house: wd-40 and q-tips to clean up any oozing/spilled epoxy, a plastic utensil knife sanded to a sharp edge to carve off any partially hardened excess epoxy to make a clean line between stock and action, some playdough/plummers puty to block flow, some shoe polish as a release agent and some electricians tape to "gently" hold the action in place in the stock as the epoxy hardens and you are good to go! Some great videos online will make it easier as you learn. Anyway, I know you asked about a kit, but giving an alternative option if you think you will bed additional rifles. Good luck!

You can get kits at rps internatonal in spruce grove. Check out there face book page for the quality of their work. They Also give tips.

I've bedded several rifles in both synthetic and walnut stocks with a simple gorilla epoxy or LePage steel epoxy.
7 bucks a tube and maybe 2 tubes max required to bed the front and rear of the action.
Shoe polish as a release agent and masking tape to keep the stock clean.
I'm not sure if the bedding kits would provide a better grade of epoxy, but my 300wm has held up for 7 years with no sign of slowing down.
Good luck to you. It can get messy!

Just don't panic and make sure you don't get a mechanical lock!

What city are you in? If you are in the Hat I have all the supplies you need and you could use what you want, heck you could even use my garage.
