Default Canada Post Slow

I have ordered several things including rifles. Two rifles came from Ontario and took over a month. I recently ordered one within Alberta and we are close to two weeks already. I'm tired of Canada Post and others using Covid 19 as an excuse for bad service. How has your experience with Canada Post been?

My best personal experience with Canada Post - letter from Calgary to Edmonton delivered in 3 weeks. That was long before Covid 19.

Default canada post

Had the good, the bad, and the ugly
I've had guns from Ontario show up in three days, guns from Ontario take four weeks, and one particular gun show up with the end busted out of the box and the end of the barrell literally sticking out and rusted!
Over-all, I have had reasonable luck with Canada post (likely better than any courier service) and I see everyday at our small town post office, how many parcels are going out each time I go to pick up my mail.

Just on sheer volume, I would honestly expect the service to be slower with the covid crisis, as everyone is shopping online as opposed to going amongst the crowds.

Even pre-covid Canada Post was slow getting stuff to/from AB. Usually about 2 weeks longer than normal via regular mail at least from Calgary. Not sure but the mail might flow through Edmonton rather then going right out to Regina/Winnipeg.

Sent a scope to korth in three days with canada post.Korths turnover repair is five days.Been waiting on canada p0st for 16 days and counting to return.Korths turnover has been excellent in the past, roughly 10 days for the round journey,i realize korth may be overly busy and took an extra day or two but canada is costly and slow.

I can do one better. Sent a Birthday Card to my next door neighbor, she lives 10' from me, it took 10 days to deliver, a foot a day, this was before Covid-19 crisis. So if you live farther?

They are currently handling more parcel volume than christmas time with no extra hands hired, so yeah things will be slower.
Plus anything coming form out of country is sent to quarantine.

Some items have been on time, others not so much.
Considering the circumstances most ship times have been reasonable.

Snail Mail.
Should go back to Pony Express. At least there would be a good reason for the delay. Gotta give the horses a rest

Maybe it’s just stuff from Ontario. I ordered from Wolverine Thursday, shipped Friday, in my hands today (in 150 Mile House). I’m quite pleased, as the tracking info indicated Thursday delivery. No complaints here...

Went in April 10 to registry get licence renewed. Had to go back May 11 to get another interim paper licence (nothing in the mail yet) after 30 days. Finally got new plastic on June 4. I did call after the first 2 weeks after the first month and after the 2 weeks after the first month. All they said, it's been mailed. First time ever that's happened. They said cause of Covid there could be a bit of a delay....

I ordered a gun from out in BC, it took over a month to get here, I wouldn't be surprised if our whacked out government isn't having the postal service xray or search anything that looks like it might be a firearm.

Pretty poor. I ordered two magazines from MDT, bases from B.C. on the 27th of June and got them on the 8th of July. However I ordered two more mags from mdt on the 2nd and got them on the 5th.

I know not long waiting times but one other package from bc I ordered was suppose to be here last week and still isn’t here. I just hope my bipod gets here before next Saturday.
