$250, if you want to move it. I don't think the demand would be very high for it. Someone wanting an aftermarket barrel would be more inclined to go with a proven barrel maker.
It seems like quite a number of Kimber rifle owners replace the barrels in favour of others...

$200-$400, depending on whether someone wants a brake.

I can buy a top quality custom pre-chambered barrel for about 500 bucks. The gunsmith will cost me about 200 bucks to install, time and head space a non-Savage style barrel. With a Barrel nut I can do it myself. Unless I got the take off for something like 150 bucks I see no upside to buying a factory barrel that are notoriously spotty and then paying the smith 200 bucks to install it. I see a lot of take off barrels for sale but I don't see many actually sell.

Exactly. Takeoffs have little value

JC Custom is Canadian is selling prefit, prechambered for 550 to 600. there are lots of other sources depending on what make of barrel you want.

I just had Henry install a JC Custom blank on a M700 action including threading for a Brake and Thread protector cap made.
Barrel blank was $480.00 to my door, Henry's excellent work and shipping both ways was another $248.00 for $728.00 total.

A barrel blank is an un contoured, un chambered, un threaded, un finished and un crowned barrel.
A prefit barrel, is contoured, chambered, threaded, crowned, and quite possibly has some sort of finish on it.

All of my JC blanks have been contoured with exterior finished to 600 grit, Krieger's are contoured but not finished, Benchmark's ,Bartlein's have been finished. These still need the work that Dick described to finish with the install.
The advantage of a pre fit barrel is it's done and ready to install with the option of the owner installing it themselves ,with some basic equipment and knowledge, saving the Gunsmith costs.
Also making it easy to do a switch barrel setup if desired, Savage rifles are handy for this, along with Rem.783 and Ruger Precision's for examples and lately a Remage setup is getting popular for easy barrel swaps.

Kimber 84M and 84L barrels have a shank diameter of about 1.04" making them almost impossible to fit to other actions. They will of course fit another Kimber 84L but about all else they can be made to fit without making a bushing is a small ring Mauser. Of course they can be fit to the little Sako L46, L461 and AI but these typically aren't chambered for rounds larger than a .243" bore unless one gets into esoteric wildcat chambers.
Other than fitting to another 84L the only other easy fit is to an 84M and chambered to 7-08AI. This will of course require machining off the original thread and rethreading and rechambering. Not worth it unless you do your own barrel work.
I have an 84L stainless 25-06 barrel here and no idea what to do with it...LOL

X2...I would be wary of a takeoff kimber barrel as the previous owner probably could not get it to shoot...idk though..maybe a good barrel...150 and someone can take a winger

I’ve bought a 338 federal, kimber Montana barrel for $120. There’s usually an add on canadiangunnutz with several of them listed for that price. I wouldn’t pay anywhere near $250 for one.

Do you plant tomatoes? It will make a very sturdy stake. Beyond that, throw er in the scrap metal bin.

a lilja barrel is 365$us plus 50$cdn for importing and that is a quality well made barrel, a factory spin off I wouldn't want to pay more than 75$ for it tops. I haven't ever been able to sell any of mine from past builds not many people are willing to go through the trouble of putting on a new factory barrel vs a match grade barrel. The factory barrels are just not worth the time money or effort and are nowhere near as accurate as match barrels.

I’d take whatever the gunsmith is willing to take off your bill for you. I’ve never found it worth while to keep any factory spin off and try and sell.
