Default Where can I target shoot my new gun?

I just bought my first rifle and I want to try it, but I’m too late to get a membership at SPFGA and SGGC. SPFGA and SGGC are the only ones I know of near Edmonton that I could have gotten in to if there was still room without being in a special group.

Are there any other ranges near Edmonton that still have memberships available?

Is there some crown land near Edmonton that I can shoot at?

Let me know if you got helpful info, Thanks

Default range

CHAS has, as far as I know, closed membership to sponsored people only. I don't think their handing out day passes anymore.

CHAS is still accepting members for 2013. You do need to have a sponsor if your a new member, but its not difficult to get a current member to sponsor you.
CHAS will have a table set up at the Edmonton Sportsmen Show March 14-17 that you can visit and get help with filling out the membership form etc. Some one at the table will sponsor you as well if you don't have one.
Not sure but they might even be selling the memberships at the show.

The membership chair will get back to you on your email although it will likely take a couple days at least.
