Default 1989 Toyota HJ-61 (my avatar pic)

I freely admit that i cried the day i sold it. I was 35. I imported it from japan. It was the turbo diesel right hand drive. And it was the best vehicle i have ever owned. Except when it went to the shop for any issue. I swear my mechanic took his family to hawaii every year i owned that thing. 24 volt and having to get the parts it needed from japan all added up very quickly!

But if i could i would buy another.

^^ Great little truck, really dig those late 80's & 90's Toys.
Same for the FJ, awesome little rig. Have a buddy I wheel with that has a built FJ, what a beast of a little truck. He just grenaded the motor, that's gonna be expensive!

For me my '79 F-150 Ranger black on black, had a built Cleveland and a sweet 80's stance with huge tires out back and small tires in front and lowered a few inches. Had some really nice captains buckets. Was a real head turner and an absolute PIG on gas. Someone made me an offer I couldn't refuse but should have

74 Nova SS with a screaming-banshee of a 327 coupled to a 4.56 diff. If I lowered the air pressure in the rear tires and flattened the gas shocks, it would pull the front tires off the ground from 1st to 2nd. It was a lot of fun.

96 F-150 long box, regular cab, with a beer window. 300 straight six, manual trans, manual lock hubs, manual transfer case. I'm not 100% sure that even God's will could strand that truck.

My favourite bike was a '77 BMW R100RS in a brilliant blue. It had 110K km on it when I bought it and came with every receipt since new, Lester rims, hard bags and a Corbin solo seat. I was the third owner and rode it til 140K km. Sadly, the kickstand sunk into the asphalt on a hot, sunny day and it fell over, bending the fairing mounts and rendering it unrideable. I never fixed it and sold it a few years later

I'm the opposite, my 2009 Taco got written off, got me a 2007 FJ now, but at 309k I know it's only a matter of time before I'm needing to look for something else.

Default Miss my Landcruiser

'84 Toyota Landcruiser BJ60 Wagon, 4cyl diesel.
Before I got my first Quad 10 yrs later, this beast took me into the back country, and got me back home again. Slept in the back, hauled out the deer and moose , pulled out other 4x4's stuck in mud holes. That thing was like a tractor in 4 wheel low. Passed on to my son, He sold it to a guy in BC in '05, had 400000 km at that time. Best truck I ever owned.

Owned both an 82 Honda XL250R and later an 84 XL350R. I put countless miles and hours on them down logging roads, trails, wherever, without ever having a problem. Great bikes.

In order of most missed...
1968 Olds Cutlass Supreme 2 door hardtop dark blue with vinal roof 350 rocket automatic. Sold 1987.
1961 Olds Super 88 four door hardtop. Black 394 rocket automatic. 68k original miles sold 1989.
1967 Dodge Coronet fake RT (440 trim leve with RT Badges). 383 Commando from a 68 sport fury I put in.
1987 Mercedes 300E. Bought when I moved down under. Used for hunting, pulled a camper across the outback. Put 180k on it without a beat.
2002 Kawasaki ZZR1200. Hit 300 kph with it and chickened out. Took it to top if bearstooth pass in a snowstorm.
1983 Renault Fuego. As unreliable as the reputation. I learned alot about electrical and electronics from that car. 1.6L turbo and I beat a 2005 iroc 5 liter top speed. Only summer drove it for 7 years, had GM alternator, Ford heater core, and other Frankenstein parts when I was done.

I liked my 1970 highboy 250 ford and my 79 is pretty great too. Nothing quite like chugging down the road in old iron. The 70 had a motor from 1964, had a pretty rythmic tick, drove a good 50 000 miles in that thing and 75% was offroad and off the grid...900$ and i beat it like it owed me money. Grease, gasoline and a flat of oil every few months and it kept on ticking haha. The 79 is in average shape for the year and i get thumbs up all over the place when cruising pretty much anywhere. Heavy as a slug of lead but with some big block ford horsepower and some modified carriers i figure it can displace enough mud and dirt to make up for its weight
