Default Iceberg water heist?

https://globalnews.ca/news/4960386/t...erg-water/amp/

What could you do with bootleg iceberg water anyway. Who would you sell it to? If you are shady enough to steal a load of water, you're probably scummy enough to lie and say your load of city water is actually iceberg water.
They probably left the water running and it went down the drain. I guess the water from my blue jugs gets stolen overnight and it wasn't me not screwing the cap on tight enough after all.

Thought the same, there’s a black market for iceberg water now??

Two possibilities: corporate espionage, or the thieves mistook it for the finished product.

Maybe the thieves thought it was the Vodka?

Sounds like something out of Trailer Park Boys.

Sounds like someone is trying to hide a mistake. Didn't order enough water for the production, someone opened the wrong valve.

The logistics of finding a potable water truck that will haul 30 m3 and be willing to risk getting caught.

Like already stated it could have been they were trying to get the finished product but I think this is just a cover up.

about twenty years ago, certain high end restaurants in Europe wanted ice in their drinks that was mined from glaciers. it's likely the dense old ice they want as water, not the melted stuff.

Yes this is probably what happened, lol. Funny thing about it is there will be lots of icebergs in the spring just tow one ashore and fill yer boots, sounds like the local fishermen should forget fishing, and go for icebergs lol, they are really easy to catch and they dont fight.

COULD be a PR stunt, but I doubt it.

It would make international news though which would help with the promotion of the product.

Ice bergs are really dangerous things to play with. They can roll over without warning, break apart without warning, etc.

These things do run aground all summer long, and take a very long time to melt away. Depending on whether the ice was cut off with chain saws, hammered off with sledge hammers, or busted apart by being shot at, the ice still has to be fished out of the water and put into coolers for melt and storage.

That much water was quite a bit of ice to harvest.

What's the deal with iceberg water?
There are water purifying systems that can turn slough water pure, is it just the cool factor ? Does the seal and seagull dung impart a flavour?

I wonder how many millennials are paying top dollar for tap water?

yes, but the ice in my hennesey styled manhattan came from the last ice age and melts slower than your ice from your kenworth fridge that sounds like a skipping record at 3:00am.

It's illegal to harvest ice from glaciers and icebergs apparently.

At one point, there was a company harvesting ice off a glacier, west of Rocky, by helicopter. Can't remember what they did with it though.

If you take glacier water from snow that fell 3,000 years ago, and mix it with cheap scotch - does that give you the taste of 30 year old scotch?

Yes dangerous to handle for sure, they are 10 times bigger below water, and as you know sometimes great pieces break off and create big waves which could easily swamp a small craft,Its the smaller ones that can be easier to harvest especially if you own a tugboat. The smaller ones are ice pans.

I say the same what's the big deal,it's just some foolishness, created by elite people who have nothing else to do with their money.
