Default Need a bow string.

Well my parents were kind enough to buy my nephew a barret bow package from cabelas for.xmas 2 years ago. So uncle has to help reset the bow after the cheap rest sight etc broke wore out etc. The string has become fraid due to the peep coming out and being restalled lots. I was gonna buy him a custom string and get the bow properly set up for his birthday. I live in athabasca and was wondering if anyone made strings or could suggest a reliable bow.shop within a 1.5 hour drive. Cheap seats is a no go as they have messed up on simple tasks in the past. I was thinking kodiak lake barrhead any other suggestions would be helpful. Thanks in advance.

Nice looking bow! How do you like the bow tech ? How long did it take to make the string? did you pre order or was it dropped off? Just wondering I need to make this as easy as possible the wife is due in 14 days lol every second counts with time off.

I ran world's best my Prime Alloy.. it suffered from wear in the servings. A friend of mine who shoots a mathews, put new WB on his bow and suffered from really bad serving wear in less than a month. Not putting them down.. nice strings . But they won't be seen on my bows anymore.

I'm loving the new Bowtech Experience. I may be buying a bowtech prodigy after my holidays this week as it was a tough decision between the two. The missus has a left hand Eva Schockey bow on order that will hopefully be here inside two months lol. The kids have An Infinite Edge and Diamond atomic. So familiar is happy.

Just call Jimbows Archery Edmonton and I'm sure Carson or Dave can help you out. Talk to Lefty canuck.. he shoots 60x and really likes those!

Strings can be a short or long wait... don't want to rush a good thing.

What made you go experience ABB? Mines been a great bow to me. No plans on replacing the old girl unless I can find a good deal on a prodigy or maybe an rpm 360. The old experience is nice shooting and has some pretty high chrony numbers.

It's a long story. Lol.

But anyways.. one of the main reasons.. is the Experience grip fits me better than Primes grip. Lol

These custom vibrant red dymondwood grips by Rattler Grips are already in the mail on way to me to replace the stale and dull factory as seen in pic.

In my experiance ..and I have installed litterally hundreds of WBS,s and never seen a serving issue unless there were other issues with set ups...I can count on one hand how many broken WBS's I have seen ...even with catastrophic dry fires...

I considered them really the best when it comes to servings...saw so many top brand name servings seperate ...WBS solved that...

*Whistle* wasnt that the Prime that had a ummm "Boo Boo" also? lol

Yep. Maybe because they were clear servings they showed the wear.

My new strings on my Bowtech break in in 30 shots. Amazing

He did stand behind his work after some talking back and forth. But after some servings that were almost short on my next set I think I'll go back to winners or Americas best.

Not trying to hi-jack, just want to ad a bit more to the convo a bit as I am also looking for new strings and want to be ready to go opening day this fall.

Is it too late to order a new string and be ready to go in the fall? (Considering ordering, production, install and break in times)

Thanks.

Schian

Had WBS on my Hoyt Carbon Matrix but had a ton of wear on both cams. And that bow is a tack drive, bareshaft robins hoods on two different occasion while bareshaft tunning at 20 yards. Strings weren't near breaking but a lot of wear and they only lasted a year. Mind you I shoot a lot, year round. In any event went another route on strings for her this year.

Clear servings are made with white servings, served really tight to go clear. Against belief of some they do turn cloudy overtime or in a few cases here, quite fast.

Could you clarify this? Sounds like you are saying to wax the servings.

Best to keep wax away from servings as it attracts dirt and grime which end up in the cam groves.

Yup ..left out some wording...[QUOTE] X2...some wax worked in on areas... where cam, idler, cable guard dont contact will help them look clear.../[QUOTE]

It is perfectally fine to wax servings where there is no contact as mentioned above...
