However most are tapered at ferule threads with arrow contact...
One can also get tapered collars that screw in under broadheads for a more precise fit...

If the broadhead is slightly larger than arrow...Im sure an at least 7/8" -1.5" cut will allow good penertration ...lol

I shot 125 gr Slicks with my FMJ's no issue. Just make sure that you have the Broadhead Adapter Rings (BAR) on them or the broadhead can damage the end of the shaft, assuming you are using the HITs. If you use the BAR's it is the link between the broadhead and slim diameter shafts. Always got good arrow flight with them, love Slicks

I'll be using Grim Reaper 1 3/8" Razor tips again this year for moose and hopefully elk.

Will be using the Grim Reaper 2" cut Whitetail Specials for mulies and whitetails, coyotes, w/e

Default Vpa

2 blade elk non vented
3 blade non vented mules.

Or if necessary, 50yd shot on deer may call for Innerloc Shapeshifter. I hate mechanicals but sometimes..........
Not ethics or anything else here. I prob wouldn't shoot. Just less drag and I practice lots with field points. Hence shapeshifter if questionable or wind.

I've always wondered how the BAR actually protects the carbon considering the same amount of surface area will be in contact with the carbon shaft as when the flat O-Ring (slick Trick) holding the blades in would be the contact point.
I mean it looks nicer than an o-ring that is slightly larger than the diameter than the arrow and i'll probably be getting some for my axis for that sole aesthetic reason. I mean they often say new products are designed to catch more hunters and fishermen than the fish and animals.....
