Default Elbow Lake

Anyone think about hiking up to Elbow Lake, it's just about completely frozen over already. There are a few small open areas at the east end of the lake where it empties into the creek. Managed to get a few small ones here.

Wow! That's a lot of snow already.
It looks like my plan for lake fishing next weekend will need rethinking...
Thanks for sharing.

We hiked up there on Sept. 23 and it was snowing that day.

It's open as far as the Lost Lemon lookout, so it's only partially open, unless that's changed in the last couple of weeks.

oh right, so you still can't get to it from longview though. Not really worth the 3 hour detour the other way...

I was referring to Hwy 40, so I'm not sure about other roads / hwys.
