For me it would have to be an arapaima or arowana, but seeing as i will probably never achieve this, I'd like to hook into a smallmouth back home in one of the rivers i fished when i was a kid.

Taimen is my dream fish to catch. But inconnu is a close second. For Alberta I'm always down for big bulls

I caught them this past july, Atlantic salmon on the fly, when they launch out of the water to take you fly your heart skips a beat!

Not dying to catch any Alberta fish I've not already caught. Maybe a lake trout would be nice....

As for fish world-wide, it would be Tarpon. Did some bonefishing this spring and love that style of flats fishing. Would definitely go again.
