Default The fish you crave most?

What's the one Alberta fish you've always wanted to catch on the fly. And if given the opportunity to go anywhere what would be the fish of choice on a fly? I've yet to catch a bull, but hope to get the chance this year. And I'd love to battle a big tarpon.

While I've already acheived this, the one fish I really wanted to catch was a golden trout.

I already said golden trout, but catching pike with a fly would be a lot of fun.

You said it. Hell, Michelle lakes I would be fine with. But High sierras much better.

Golden trout was my number one, but I checked that off so my next goal is a monster bull! Like 36" or better. Caught a few in the high 20s but want one in the high 30s.

18" Cutt on a small high country creek, picking off beetles or grasshoppers, spooky fish, have to crawl to get close.

Lake trout is the last on my list for Alberta, I keep meaning to get out for them every spring but I just never seem to make it. As for anywhere else in the world, my dream is peacock bass in the Amazon.

Man a peacock bass would be incredible on the fly. Watched them catching them on big plugs in the Amazon. Beautiful and an amazing battle.

I always wanted to go to the keys and try my luck with tarpon on the fly. Well this past june I was in the Atlantic ocean, looking at southern most point Key West, 12 wt in hand, trying to keep my balance, casting to rolling tarpon! Its something else when a six foot silver king jumps out of the water clearing 7-8 feet into the air with runs that take you well into your backing in a matter of seconds! Its sure is something else to hook into something that big with a fly rod, can't wait to go back!

A big tarpon and/or a Golden Dorado in a clear river. A tree river Artic Char would be cool but... $$$ The tarpon is the only thing on the radar right now.

I second the big laker on the fly for local waters.
