Default My First Bear-Bow Kill.

Well it finaly happened,I tried baiting last year with know luck at all.Tried again this year with a buddy that has been hunting bears for years and we had some nice bears come in.I hung on to the second last day b-4 i took this bear.It scored 17 12/16 not a big bear by any means but it was my first so im happy.I always thought that you put a bait out they come in and you shot them like fish in a barrel. Not at all like it happens.Them big brusers are very smart. It took alot more work than i thought.

I finally got a shot at this one through a hole in the bush.It would not come to the bait at all.32-33 yard shot and thats about as far as it went as well.
No tracking required. That new DXT and 100gr montec were devestating.

Here is a couple pics of my first bear as well as the pig that i was waiting for.
The date is wrong on the picture as i forgot to set date first time out.
Curious as to what you guys would think this bear would weigh as well as score.

Hope to have some pics of a deer i have been chasing for 2 years this fall.
He should score well into the 190-200 class range.Keep you posted.http://i279.photobucket.com/albums/k...earPics010.jpg

That one got posted in the bear hunting thread 3 seconds after I saw it. You just can't keep quality pictures like that to yourself.
And it appears everyone agrees that it is in fact a huge bear.
