Cutthroat Tactics
Ok so you're out on a new cuttie stream that you havn't fished but you know it will produce good fishing. If the dry fly isn't catching as much as you think it should (you're fishing nice pools/runs that you know hold fish and not getting any bites) do you nymph, continue dry fly fishing, or use a hopper/dropper setup. Maybe even toss on a streamer? What have you found most successful if the fishing isn't up to par?

Like i said dude, hopper dropper, What would be the point fishing a nymph under an indicator, if you can just use a big bushy/high floating dry instead.
If you're going to use streamers... Cutty pink.

Forget indicators throw on a double nymph setup one flashy one dull and bottom bounce with a "free style" nymph drift, almost always gets them when drys won't.

Guess id just pack up and go home. Having to use a nymph to catch a Cuttie is like shooting a standing pheasant. Perfectly legal but theres something just not right about it...lol

I've always used a hopper/dropper fishing cutthroat, goldeye, and grayling waters.

Catching a cutt on a nymph is like kissing your cousin,,, fun enough,,, but you are not sure you should be doing that!

Use any big dry and hit the right spots. I like hoppers.

I pull out the panther martins on the spinning rod setup at the very beginning, don't use a fly rod but I know the trout like spinners!

panther martins yield small compared to blue fox vibrax in pink (the bass one)
