Default October Fly fishing

Hey all,

Looking to go out for the last time this season...is it worth it? Would trout still be active?

Still backswimmer time in the potholes for trout. On Thursday had a 2 dozen fish afternoon/evening in a not to be named lake west of Edmonton, on a silver bodied backswimmer and Hover line.

Bow river has been pretty friendly to me this time of the year.
Fish are still active.
White fish seen to be very active.
Hooked into bunch of them (west of cochrane) yesterday.

The bow is awesome this time of year, Bows fattening up for the winter and Browns hungry before their run. Be nice to the Browns try not to target them so much.

That's actually a little sad to see. I'm just speculating here, but guessing many of these fish won't make it through the winter if they are cut off in pools. Not unexpected given the dry year we've had I suppose. Is this on the radar of TUC or any other groups?
