I put a new sight on today was sighting it in got the 20 dailed in when all of sudden my peep went crooked no matter what I did in the field could not get it straight. Does any one know what causes this.

Default Peep

Push your D loop to the same angle as your peep so when you draw it will come back straight, you may have to do it ever once and awhile.

Once you have a hundred or so shots on the string, bring it to a pro shop and have it re-installed properly. You can twist it or the d-loop before each shot for now, but you won't want to have to do that when you are hunting. Nothing worst than drawing on a buck and looking at the side of the peep.

I use an Anchor Sight and do not have a peep, so I have no worry of ever having peep twist or a weak point in my string.

Like said above, its string stretching. Take it into a shop and they can flip strands to straighten it out. Doesn't take long

sure it didn't get bumped and move? Close your eyes, come to full draw and get comfortably anchored. Open your eyes. Is it high or low?

Common with every new bow as string settles [nice work for stretch]...which will happen up to 250 shots pending on brand or string...

You need a Press to do it proper...most of the bows I get that are string exploded happen at peep sight...so a press is advised when adjusting peep..

A press is necessary to twist string even 1 twist...

Unless you have a bow like APA...APA has an innovative Cam Lock allows the average archer to replace strings or cables, make adjustments, tune your peep, install accessories and tune their bow without the need of a standard bow press.

Its a good Idea to take other brand bows in to your local archery shop, as it may need a couple tweaks to end up perfect...its quick and inexpensive!!

if your peep moved down or up you still need a press to put it back in the right spot

I agree...many peeps will have burrs/dings or sharp edge that can damage string moving under pressure of bow!!
