Default Muskiki lake

Howdy folks, have any of you been to Muskiki yet this spring? I am planning my first ever trip in a week. But I did hear that there was still some ice on it. Just curious if anyone can confirm. And is the Cardinal road in decent shape? I have a 4x4, but will be coming from the elk river road, and not through Cadomin, thanks in advance.

It was still frozen based on a report I received. It might be ice free this weekend but no guarantees. The road is always a bit of an experience, it usually isn't bad until small boys but then is usually rough and I am guessing it will be the same right now. Trunk road and Elk River road probably will be dry but might be a bit rough or soft in places.
