Default A Day to Remember

We’ve all got a few of those magic days in our past that we’ll never forget. I’ve been in the blind for 8 1/2 hours now today and rattled in 6 different bucks so far. Every time I hit the antlers a buck showed up.

Some days it just works 👍

Wonder what this rain will do to the last hour or so of the day...

Rattling is so hit and miss for me but last Saturday, in a spot with good sign. I did a sequence and right away my son spots a nice buck trotting to us from 300 yrds out. Unfortunately he spotted my son first and said hey whoa, WTH? Your not a buck or the doe calling lol.

It's fun when they come in on a string. Happens very rarely for me.

Not to steal anybody's thunder but no kidding, what a day, went to 1 of my blinds on my place (about an 8 minute slow walk) and noticed fresh tracks (about 10 minutes old because we had just had a little skiff of snow blow through).
Settled in and just sat for about 10 minutes.
Rattled 1 time and waited, 5 minutes and a perfect size (for me -I hunt for meat not trophies) whitetail buck walked in about 30 yards away.
Dropped him where he stood, thanked him for his sacrifice and I am having tenderloin tonight.

Wink

It's the same buck...over and over

If your in a high buck to doe area it gets a little crazy...careful on your walk out might get mistaken as a doe

How long do you guys tend to rattle for if you don’t mind me asking? A quick burst or prolonged battle or mixture of both? I have not had any luck rattling a buck in yet!

Yesterday I went loud and hard for 10-20 seconds every 90 minutes give or take.
