That home run was soooo clutch!

Let's not forget about the play in the 8th by Donaldson. The Big Smoak also had a great game.

All I know is that it's is going to be an expensive month for me...plane tickets to Toronto are not cheap.

Default magic number is 2 now

With a Jays win tonight and a Yankees loss they are now at 2 games to win the Division. 5 up the Yanks.

On a side note the Royals also lost so the Jays also lead the A.L by 1 game.

Default B Line Up

With the American League lead up for grabs I am surprised they "gave the game away".... Anyone else find that odd?

I get they want to rest some players but losing home filed due to this game would hurt!

Serious injury due to fatigue may be worse than home field advantage. I did find it odd though. I hope they give it a good run for 1st overall. Maybe KC will implode

I guess we will find out shortly when they field a team. Although there could be some hangovers based on the videos. If they field the "b" team again they are just avoiding injury and resting people with no concern for home field.

I was waiting for them to put the three headed monster in for the 9th if it was 0-0 still.

It will be back to work today!

Yesterday they rewarded all the players. And they will still win AL.

The manager of a team that clinched a playoff spot for the first time in 22 years should be fired because he did a personal favour for a hall of famer? I'm sure every player on the team was in favour of the gesture. Goins and Encarnacion could've ended the inning fairly early. He was 15-7 this season, it's not like today's outcome was precedented.

Also, the only situation that would affect home field advantage would be if they played KC in the ALCS. Still a ways to go for that. They'd have it in the WS no matter what.

Edit: KC won today anyways, it wouldn't have mattered.

I wonder why they pulled him at all haha, get him his 200... maybe it would have been 15-0. It looked like he was laughing in the dugout... hopefully that means he is ok with that being his last game?

Well unless you don't work and can watch them at 10 am you won't see at least the first 2 games.

What a joke!

Not unusual for MLB playoffs. They rarely/never play games on top of one another. And the start time issues compound when you live in the west and cheer for someone in the east.... It sucks, but is not surprising. There is always mid-day games the first round of the playoffs. The Jays just drew the short straw because they're not as big of draw in prime time down in the US. On the plus side, game 3 is the Sunday baseball game which is a first for the Jays this year.
