Default As upset as many are, what good things do you think the NDP might bring?

Sure many things will suffer, but what do you think might improve under the NDP?

Will the medicine we just received cure anything while we weather its negative side-effects?

The right will probably want to bring in election reforms, away from FPP so they can at least form a coalition next time.

We won't have to worry about having a bunch of extra money getting in the way

Government employment opportunities, I'm sure there will be lots of positions open for the new gun registry.

I don't think I feel as sick to my stomach as I did when redfraud won.

The fishing in Saskatchewan was great under the NDP. Course it was great no matter who was in power.

Suspension shops did a pretty good business from all the crappy roads.

Didn't have to put up with snobby rich people...there weren't any.

having lived in an ultra socialist province for 26 years (quebec) we can expect to have free/severily discounted access to rec facilities, day care, education, health services etc, etc and all it will cost you is 60% of your pay cheque, double your property tax and no matter what you do for a living you'll be part of a union and serverely govenrment regulated.

whether or not it's worth it is up to you. i now live in alberta.....for now.

If they are able to beat the bureaucrats to the shredders we might just get a snootful of hard evidence as to how corrupt the PC's had become after 40 years of "governance". Would be a positive overall and good incentive for them to clean up their act for the next go around.

The downside is that the NDP gets their hands on enough dirt to sink the right for years and years and years to come; enough time to get some real "change" happening...

Well I was worried about paying more in taxes, but considering they're raising corporate taxes and reviewing the royalty program my income will be dropping anyways so maybe I'll fall back into an income level that benefits from socialist policies.....

I wasn't suggesting it would be good, I was asking for other people's thoughts if they thought there might be some positives. Even a broken clock is right twice a day.

Okay.....

Clean slate..... Let's keep a tally... Let's say, it's for our kids, and our friends...

We have allowed a significant error to occur because of our tolerance in things we know are not acceptable. It's really quite simple... There are things that we believe , as Canadians, that are just not acceptable, firstly, it speaks volumes that Prentice is leaving. Thank goodness that he is doing the right thing, in resigning.... But that it happens so quickly, says something to me. HE'S NOT FROM HERE!!!, So maybe I'll ask if I can go fishing with him in the States sometime..... Does he want a "Cookie", like others that HAVE COME TO THIS PROVINCE AND LEFT WITH OUR MONEY....???

I'm so frustrated with this outcome... Really??? NDP... Really??? Think on one thing... If there's anything that tells you, you should've voted for something that would make a change,,,, The Liberal leader is supporting the NDP!!!! "Me thinks thow doth protest too, too, much"... OMG!!! I pray for the liberties of my children.... The first law that the NPD enact that breaches my civil liberties, I will post here... we will not have to wait long....

A senior that asked you to research this election... And my opinion is now....... We're hooped!!!... J

Well, I read their platform thoroughly before I cast my vote, and I'm sure that much of what is in there would appeal to the crusty farts who are calling for the end of the earth tomorrow.

One that will be good is they have promised to do away with both corporate and union donations to political parties.

And if they built upgrader(s) to keep value added jobs in Alberta that would be a good thing.

However, someone will be along shortly to bitch and complain.

They are not going to be radical, as politicians don't want to just gain power, they want to stay in power also. Notley is smart enough to know that their good fortune was the result of colossal mismanagement and blanket ignoring of the electorate.

She also knows that voters will turn to the WRP just as quickly as they turned to her.

The Devil we don't know (Ok, you people from BC and Manitoba, and Sa-scratchy-one might know them....). One thing I'll predict here and now, they won't have any articles written about their long-term Alberta dynasty because this will be their one shot, they might form an opposition in 4 years, but that Alberta voting trend will end with them.

Better Education
Better Healthcare
Compassion and Respect for our Seniors
Co-operation with Companies to implement new jobs
Corporate Welfare will disappear
AHS waste will be trimmed
More long term beds
Restore Apprentice program
I believe they will do what they said they would do, and in four years if they don't, then I am sure the WR will get a chance to strut their stuff
