Yes on Raymond waking up. I have had to eat some crow about him from my Son. It was a running joke around here that anything that went wrong was Raymond's fault. He gives it to me pretty hard now.

Glen cross is a UFA this summer. I like him, but we can do better.

There's no quit in those kids, seems like a pretty tight knit group.
What does management do now? They need to re-coup something out of the upcoming UFA's, and it would be nice to see an upgrade on defence. It would also be nice to get some scoring touch, but would we upset the apple cart.
This team has played, so far above expectations, so far, but to achieve the playoffs, they need a bit of a boost.

Upgrade on defense....? I guess their third pair are not great, but I never see them on the ice anyway. And Gio, Brodie, Russel and Wideman are some of the best in the league currently. I agree it would be nice to change a few pieces though, starting with Ramo and Stajan.

This is all gravy for me watching the Flames, they weren't even supposed to be close to where they are now at the beginning of the year, if it goes down to the last game and they don't make the play offs I will still be happy to say I am Flames fan, plus they gave us something to watch all season. Great entertainment for sure.

You are right on those 4, but they cannot afford one of them to go down to injury. They are playing them so many minutes, they will burn them out.we need at least one more rh D

I'd go with that....so right handers? How about Shea Weber, or Drew Doughty, Pietrangelo, Seabrook, Subban, Letang....I wonder if any of those guys are available?

No? Dang!

Who do they go after, that is available and they can afford?

Those guys, are all studs, but they would cost us, young guys we cannot afford to lose.we would have to get those type in free agency, where the only cost is money. Flames have tons of cap room.
Right now maybe Petry, or sekera , for pics, rather than players
Or send Stajan, or Glencross, packaged with Bear.

I dont know about starting with Ramo, between him and Hiller. They're both so on and off. That one would be a tough choice. In my opinion, Hiller and Ramo are on a pretty level field. We need to get Ortio back up for a couple games, that kid is a STUD!!

X 5 on Stajan he lost his game a couple of years ago he also lost a child shortly after its birth around that same time, management may have a soft spot for him but hopefully they do the right thing and pop Sam Bennett into his spot for a few games, Johnny G looks like he's getting abit tired may have to reduce his ice time, Monahan is getting better as the season rolls along could get 30 this season, nice to see Bouma having a great season after all he has been through...Go Flames lets pound the Wild tonight!!!

Sharks aren't going to make it to the playoffs

Big game tonight. Last one was a 1-0 loss for the Flames.

Just as Big is the Colorado game.

Beginning of the end I fear for Flames.
Just too many other teams playing well, The Wild too.
9th or 10th place approaching.
Still should have had 3-4 power plays against the Rangers if the reffs had any ballz.

its like new york and LA is the hardest places for the flames to get a power play

Just when I am ready to throw in the towel, they come up with a win.
I am still not 100% sure they have all the neccasary horse power to make the playoffs, but what a blast to watch them try.

Great effort tonight

Way too early to count them out....look at the rest of the season like it is the 3rd period! How many times have they come back? Ten?? No quit in those boys, and the Devils are a tough club to play anywhere. Good on them again.

Giordano out for the season, that injury during the Jersey game worse than it looked. I figured he was good when he did the pre game warm up skate last game....nope.

Major Bummer.

I asked this on another thread. However, as a Canuck fan I still sincerely hope Winnipeg/Vancouver/Calgary make the playoffs. Question: is there still any upside to Sven or is that all he will ever amount to- an AHL "star"

Put in the right situation, I think, Sven has great potential. Hartley has a system that requires ,two way play.Sven could not quite, fit this system. coupled with being brought up so many times, and sent back down, so quickly each time, I think realy effected, his confidence.with a new coach, a new system, and a new opportunity, great things could happen. he just needs to put it all together. I hope the best for him. Also hope he doesn't come back to haunt us.
